NEW DAY, NEW BEGINNING
My last day at my current job is 5/31. I am so happy about this... But first, let me make it clear that it's not because I didn't like the job. I actually loved working with school age children. It was so much fun and rewarding. I've enjoyed it very much. I've also learned so much from the children. However, I was not able to work on any of my own projects... I was too busy and tired!!! Working with children takes a lot out of you. So, I have resigned to concentrate on me for a bit. I can't wait to work on my own projects again!

THE RED QUEEN HYPOTHESIS
![]() |
| The Red Queen 2012 |
The Red Queen looks to her sisters to rule her Queendom.
The Red Queen Hypothesis, also referred to as Red Queen's, Red Queen's race or Red Queen Effect, is an evolutionary hypothesis. The Red Queen Hypothesis intends to explain two different phenomena: the constant extinction rates as observed in the paleontological record caused by co-evolution between competing species[1] and the advantage of sexual reproduction at the level of individuals.[2] The term is taken from the Red Queen's race in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass and involves the Red Queen and Alice constantly running, yet remaining in the same place.
